Attack with hammer: Appeal rejected
Manama : An Asian expat who was found guilty of hitting another expat on the head with a hammer had his appeal rejected by the High Criminal Appeals Court.
The Pakistani man was sentenced to a month in jail followed by deportation.
According to the court, the defendant and the victim, a Bangladeshi man, worked as technicians in two different car repair shops.
Following a dispute, the defendant struck the victim with a hammer on his head.
However the former claimed that the latter came to his workplace and picked up a fight with him.
He then accidentally hit him with the hammer while he was trying to push him away.The incident happened on October 20, and the defendant was charged with physical assault.
