Bahrain Village Set For F1 Malaysia

Tourism, culture and heritage will be showcased to Formula 1 fans during the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix activities in Malaysia.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is set to launch Bahrain Village at the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix activities at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from October 2 to 4.

The interactive experience will showcase Bahrain’s tourism and cultural attractions, heritage and diverse visitor experiences to international audiences attending the race.

BTEA Chief Executive Officer Sara Ahmed Buhiji said major international sporting events, particularly Formula 1 races, provide an important platform for highlighting Bahrain’s tourism and cultural attractions and strengthening the Kingdom’s presence in global tourism markets.

She said Bahrain Village would offer an integrated experience reflecting Bahrain’s heritage, culture and identity while allowing visitors to explore the Kingdom’s tourism offerings.

Bahrain International Circuit Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said the village would bring a distinctive Bahraini presence to the race activities in Malaysia and introduce Formula 1 fans to aspects of Bahrain’s own Formula 1 experience.

He said Bahrain Village would be among the main attractions in the race entertainment area, giving visitors an opportunity to discover Bahraini identity and learn about the Kingdom’s experience in hosting Formula 1 races.

The village will feature heritage experiences, cultural activities and live handicraft demonstrations. Bahraini food brands will also take part, giving visitors an opportunity to sample local flavours and learn more about Bahrain’s culinary scene.
