Bahrain, US Conclude Military Committee Meeting

Bahrain and the United States concluded the 21st meeting of the Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee, focusing on strengthening military coordination and defence cooperation between the two countries.

Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, led the Bahraini side at the meeting, while Michael DeMino IV, Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near Eastern and Central Asian Affairs, headed the US delegation.

The meeting was held at the Bahrain Defence Force, in the presence of Saikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Advisor for Financial and Technical Affairs at the Bahrain Defence Force General Command, and Stephanie Lynn Hallett, US Ambassador to Bahrain.

The two sides discussed several issues on the committee's agenda aimed at supporting and enhancing military coordination and defence cooperation between Bahrain and the United States.

They also reviewed existing bilateral relations and cooperation and discussed ways to further develop them, particularly in the military field.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the minutes of the 21st Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee meeting.

Several senior Bahrain Defence Force officers attended the closing session.
