Bahrain Parliamentary Division Meets Uzbek Legislative Council Members on Sidelines of Youth Parliamentarians Conference

Member of the Bureau of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and representative of the Arab Group, MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, met with Nuriddin Ismailov and Behzod Tokhtamurodov, members of the Legislative Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Parliamentary Division delegation in the 12th IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, currently being held in Samarkand.

The meeting discussed ways to further strengthen the distinguished bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Both sides affirmed their keenness to continue enhancing parliamentary cooperation and to promote greater coordination and communication between them.

They also stressed the importance of exchanging bilateral visits to further consolidate relations between the two countries and benefit from shared expertise and experiences.

MP Hassan Ibrahim commended the excellent organisation and preparations for the conference, expressing his appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality extended to the Bahraini delegation since its arrival.

He also expressed his hope that the conference would produce the desired outcomes and recommendations.
