Road plan for the Ironman 70.3

Manama : The General Directorate of Traffic yesterday announced the following route map for Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship to ensure smooth traffic flow. 

The route

8Bicycles will commence the game at 7:20am from the second parking lot of the Four Season Hotel in Bahrain Bay

8From there to the right lane of King Faisal highway.

8Through Bahrain Bay road to Al Fateh Highway junction and Shaikh Duaj Road (Najma Club)

8To traffic signal near Al Fateh Mosque

8“U” turn to Bahrain Bay Highway and Bahrain Financial Harbour signal.

8Through King Faisal Highway Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway to Zallaq Highway.

The course 

8Cyclists course will include Shaikh Rashid Equestrian Club and Sakhir Palace Roundabout, the traffic signal of Sakhir entrance before They take a “U” turn and drive opposite to the traffic flow until they reach their final destinations, which are the entrance of Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and then to Al Jazaer Beach and back to BIC again.

The schedule

8Bicycles will reach Al Fateh highway at 9:30 am, 

8King Faisal Highway at 10:00 am, 

8Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway at 10:30am, 

8Zallaq Highway at 11:15 and

8the Gulf of Bahrain Highway (Al Jazaer Beach Road) by 12:30pm
