A Great Awakening

Manama : The New Millennium School - DPS Bahrain yesterday kicked off its 11th Annual day celebrations on the school premises with a variety of activities with  the theme ‘Jagruthi– An Awakening”.

KG to Grade IV students were in the spotlight on the inaugural day producing a blend of cultural programmes in the Kingdom Hall of NMS-DPS. Taking the baton from them today will be the Grade V to Grade XII students. 

On the first day of the mega celebrations, Om Prakash, Second Secretary (Commerce), Embassy of India graced the occasion. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Ravi Pillai, Chairman and Arun Kuumar Sharma, Principal.

Manar Mohammed Ahmed, Education Specialist, Private Education Directorate, Ministry of Education will be gracing the second day of the function.

Arun Kuumar Sharma, Principal, NMS-DPS unveiled the School annual report on the occasion and felicitated seventeen students from various grades for their outstanding performance in SAT Subject Tests, Indian International MUN Conference & CBSE National Badminton Championship.  

The staff members’ who had completed ten years of service and achieved 100 percent attendance were honoured on the occasion. The ‘Best House of the Year’ Trophy was bagged by Mandela House.

The mesmerizing evening saw magnificent confluence of dance, drama and music and left the audience spell bound with the colourful and emotional overtones.

The Student Council Members of the school –  Anwesha Nandi, Rufus Robby Abhinav Prasad, Sumati Gupta spoke on the occasion. The MCs of the function were Yugmita, Shreyas Rasane, Asheeba, Krish, Arjun Verma, Femi Ivan and Reet Varma with Teachers Kavitha Nair and Roshni Viji.
