BIPD Board Charts Next Phase of Political Awareness and National Development

 

The Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) is continuing to advance its programmes and initiatives aimed at strengthening political and constitutional awareness and encouraging informed participation across Bahraini society.

The Institute’s Board of Trustees reviewed its ongoing work and plans for the coming period during its third meeting of 2026, chaired by Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the BIPD Board of Trustees.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees and Eman Faisal Janahi, Executive Director of the BIPD.

Dr. Al Rumaihi stressed the Institute’s role in supporting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision of strengthening national efforts and promoting political awareness among all segments of society.

He noted that the BIPD’s programmes contribute to encouraging informed and responsible participation, while strengthening the values of citizenship and national belonging.

He also affirmed the Institute’s commitment to developing its programmes and initiatives in line with the needs of the current phase, supporting its national mission of promoting political and constitutional awareness, enhancing understanding of rights and responsibilities, and developing national talent capable of contributing effectively to political development.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed the programmes and activities implemented by the Institute between January and August 2026. These included training and awareness programmes, events and initiatives targeting different segments of society.

The Board also examined the results of these activities, participation levels and the benefits gained by participants, as well as their contribution to the BIPD’s strategic objectives.

It further reviewed new initiatives and updates to programmes and activities included in the Institute’s 2026 plan for the coming period, along with preparations for their implementation.
