GIG Gulf Launches Affordable War Cover for Motorists and Business Fleets
GIG Gulf has announced the launch of an optional war cover add-on for comprehensive personal motor insurance policies and selected commercial fleet policies in Bahrain, offering customers greater financial protection against war-related risks that are typically excluded from standard insurance plans.
The new solution allows private motorists to choose from three different levels of coverage, enabling them to select protection that matches their individual budget and risk preferences. Designed to be simple and accessible, the optional cover can be added online during the purchase or renewal of a policy, while existing customers can also request the add-on through GIG Gulf's customer care team.
Commercial fleet operators, including logistics companies and corporate vehicle owners, will be able to access the new war cover from August 2026, providing businesses with a practical way to safeguard valuable assets against an evolving regional risk environment.
