Digital Government Services in Focus

Held under the theme “Digital Transformation Initiatives: Towards Easier and Faster Government Services,” the session explained how residents and citizens can access government transactions through digital channels and use them for everyday services.

Northern Area Municipal Council Chairman Dr Sayed Shubbar Ebrahim Al Wedaie led the session, highlighting the importance of keeping pace with rapid technological developments.

He said greater public awareness of digital services can contribute to improving the working environment and enhancing the quality, accessibility and efficiency of government services.

The iGA presented its role in Bahrain’s digital transformation, including the delivery of government digital services, management of the government data network, information technology governance, national statistics and the Kingdom’s population registry.

Participants were introduced to key digital platforms, including Bahrain’s National Portal, bahrain.bh, which provides access to a wide range of electronic government services.

The session also covered the MyGov application, which brings government services and information together through a single digital platform, along with the eGovernment Apps Store.
