Bahrain Wins Two Gold Medals in Asian Games Athletics
Bahrain secured two gold medals on the opening day of athletics competition at the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
Winfred Yavi won gold in the women’s 10,000 metres, while Bahrain claimed its second gold medal in the mixed 4x400-metre relay.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Head of Bahrain’s delegation to the Asian Games, attended the competitions and praised the performances of the Kingdom’s athletes, highlighting their determination and competitive spirit.
HH also commended the efforts of the Bahrain Athletics Association, along with the technical and administrative teams and the athletes, and expressed hope for further achievements and medals in the upcoming competitions.
