‘Tribute to Bahrain’ Set for October 9

The Sree Narayana Cultural Society (SNCS), Bahrain, in collaboration with Bahrain Billawas, is set to host the third edition of "Tribute to Bahrain" on Friday, October 9, 2026, as part of the Sree Narayana Gurudeva Jayanthi celebrations. Organized under the theme "A Confluence of Cultures and the Spirit of Humanism," the flagship event aims to express gratitude and pay tribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the wider Bahraini public.

The grand evening will begin at 6:00 PM at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Hall under the banner of New Aura Arts. Padma Shri recipient Brahmashree Swami Vishuddhananda, former President of Sivagiri Mutt, will officially inaugurate the proceedings by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will attend as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished attendees include Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President B. K. Hariprasad, Kerala MLA Chandy Oommen, BKS President Radhakrishna Pillai, and prominent business leaders including Gokulam Gopalan, Dr. K. G. Baburajan, Pampa Vasan Nair, K. Muraleedharan, Ambalathara Rajan, Jayashankar Viswanathan, Mahesh Devji, Ashok Kumar D., Fattaram Chandelia, and Biswas Krishna Narayanan.

As part of the ceremonies, SNCS will present special awards to individuals for outstanding contributions across various sectors. Gokulam Gopalan (Chairman, Gokulam Group of Companies) will receive the Sree Narayana Guru Excellence Award, while Dr. K. G. Baburajan (Managing Director, BKG Holdings) will be honored with the Sree Narayana Guru Karma Shreshta Award. The Sree Narayana Guru Humanitarian Award will be presented to Pampa Vasan Nair (Managing Director, Amad Group), and the Sree Narayana Guru Seva Award will go to Ashok Kumar D. (Managing Director, SYME Mechanical Contracting). Additionally, Fatta Ram Chandelia (Chairman, Chandelia International) and Biswas Krishna Narayanan (Vice-Chairman, Bahrain Shipping and Audit Association) will be awarded the Cross-Border Leadership Business Excellence Awards.
