Naser finishes 16th in road race

Bahrain's Ahmed Naser finished 16th in the men's road race at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya yesterday.
The Bahraini completed the 157.6-kilometre course in Shinchiro in four hours 27 minutes 38 seconds, crossing the line 14:27 behind gold medallist Alexey Lutsenko.
The Kazakh claimed the title in 4:13:11, finishing 1:58 ahead of compatriot Yevgeniy Fedorov as the pair secured the top two places.
Japan's Yuhi Todome completed the podium in 4:15:51, crossing the line 2:40 behind the winner.
A total of 40 riders from 16 countries were entered for the race, which was contested in rainy conditions and produced an average speed of 37.348km/h.
