Call for 24-Hour Hotline for Tree and Irrigation Issues

A Northern Municipal Council member has called for a 24-hour hotline and emergency response team to address urgent landscaping and irrigation issues across Bahrain.
Abdullah Al Qubaisi proposed a dedicated hotline under the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry, allowing residents to report issues via phone or WhatsApp, including photo submissions.
He said current reporting systems are too slow to handle emergencies such as burst irrigation pipes, fallen trees, or roadside obstructions.
The proposal also recommends a dedicated field team equipped to respond immediately, including during weekends and public holidays.
Al Qubaisi said the system would improve response times, reduce damage, and allow residents to assist authorities by reporting issues as soon as they occur.
