Southern Governorate marks Eid with staff meeting

The Southern Governorate marked Eid al-Adha with a meeting between its top officials and employees, highlighting efforts to strengthen workplace cohesion and enhance public service delivery, according to an official statement.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, met staff members during a celebration held on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, in the presence of Brigadier Hammad Mohammed Al Khayyat, the deputy governor.

The gathering, organised by the governorate, is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce communication across departments and promote a culture of teamwork and continuous contribution within the institution.

During the meeting, the governor exchanged Eid greetings with attendees, praising the role of national professionals in supporting Bahrain’s development drive under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He said Eid al-Adha represented an opportunity to further strengthen a positive work environment built on unity and collaboration, commending staff for their “sincere efforts” and contributions to improving administrative performance and public services for citizens and residents.

Shaikh Khalifa also stressed that national talent within the Southern Governorate remains a key pillar in advancing institutional achievements, noting their professional competence and sense of responsibility, which he said had contributed to a number of initiatives aimed at enhancing governance quality and service standards.

The event concluded with staff expressing appreciation for the governor’s continued support and for hosting the Eid gathering, which they said served as motivation to further serve the Southern Governorate and its communities.
