Bahrain Completes Preparations for 2026 Hajj Season

Bahrain’s Hajj Mission has announced the completion of all logistical and administrative preparations for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season, confirming full readiness to receive Bahraini pilgrims travelling to the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.

Khalid Al Malloud, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Hajj Mission, said specialised advance teams began arriving in Makkah and Madinah from May 7 to oversee preparations and ensure all accommodation and service facilities meet approved quality and safety standards.

The teams have also inspected camps in Mina and Arafat to confirm their readiness before the arrival of pilgrims.

Al Malloud stated that Bahraini pilgrims will travel through an organised flight schedule consisting of 36 departure batches aimed at ensuring smooth movement and reducing congestion at airports.

A total of 4,625 Bahraini pilgrims are expected to perform Hajj this year through 23 licensed Hajj campaigns operating under the supervision of the mission and in coordination with Saudi authorities.

The Bahrain Hajj Mission is operating with a workforce of 90 members distributed across nine specialised committees responsible for administration, finance, transportation, medical services, security, media relations, engineering planning, and pilgrim support.

Officials said the mission’s operational plan focuses on providing high-quality services and ensuring the safety, comfort, and smooth movement of pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey.

Al Malloud stressed that the mission continues to prioritise the welfare of Bahraini pilgrims by relying on trained personnel, technical systems, and direct coordination with Saudi agencies to guarantee a safe and organised Hajj season from departure until return to Bahrain.
