Bahrain and Jordan reaffirmed their “strategic partnership” and shared commitment to regional security during high-level meetings in the capital, underscoring close coordination across political and parliamentary levels.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met Jordanian Senate President Faisal Akef Al-Fayez at Gudaibiya Palace, where both sides highlighted the “longstanding” ties between the two kingdoms, supported by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Abdullah II.
The Crown Prince stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and Jordan, particularly between executive and legislative institutions, to advance shared development goals and regional stability.
He also praised Jordan’s support for Bahrain and King Abdullah II’s role in deepening bilateral relations, while reaffirming Bahrain’s backing for Jordan’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Unified stance” with Jordan
Separately, senior Bahraini officials reiterated the alignment between both countries on security issues during meetings with the Jordanian delegation.
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh described bilateral ties as reflecting a “unified vision” and condemned recent Iranian attacks against Gulf states and Jordan, calling them violations of international law and threats to regional peace.
He said the relationship, rooted in the leadership of both leaders, spans political, economic, cultural and health cooperation, and called for deeper Arab coordination.
Stronger legislative coordination
Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam also reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for Jordan, saying both countries’ security is “inseparable,” and called for expanded parliamentary cooperation in regional and international forums.
Both sides reiterated support for the Palestinian cause and called for stronger Arab solidarity amid ongoing regional tensions.
