His Majesty the King Receives Parliament and Shura Leadership

Manama, 11 May — His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, received the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, the Speaker of the Shura Council, and members of the response committee to the Royal Speech delivered during the opening of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term.

The meeting included His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council, and members of both councils.

During the meeting, His Majesty expressed gratitude for the sincere efforts of the legislative authority in serving the nation and citizens, praising its achievements and continued contributions to supporting development plans across various sectors in Bahrain.

His Majesty also highlighted the strong coordination between the executive and legislative authorities, commending their cooperation in advancing national development, growth, and prosperity for all citizens.

The King praised the constructive initiatives and suggestions put forward by the Shura and Representatives Councils, noting their role in strengthening the national path and improving institutional performance.

He further commended the national positions of the legislature in supporting security and stability, and its rejection of any actions targeting the sovereignty of the Kingdom.

His Majesty reaffirmed that Bahrain is a country for all its citizens, emphasizing unity, national cohesion, and continued progress under the care of Almighty God. He concluded by praying for the protection of Bahrain and its people and for the continued blessings of security, stability, and prosperity.
