Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the launch of direct flights to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) beginning October 1, 2025. The service will operate three times a week—on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—with fares starting at BHD 370 for Economy Class and BHD 1,298 for Business Class.

The route will be served by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering a premium onboard experience with 282 seats—including 26 Business Class and 256 Economy Class seats. The long-haul flight covers a distance of 6,613 miles, promising a smooth and comfortable journey for passengers traveling between Bahrain and the United States.

Flight GF91 will depart from Bahrain International Airport at 4:00 AM, arriving in New York at 10:55 AM local time after a flight duration of 13 hours and 55 minutes. The return flight, GF90, will take off from JFK at 3:00 PM, landing in Bahrain the following day at 10:35 AM, with a travel time of 12 hours and 35 minutes.

Initially, Gulf Air will operate through Terminal 1 at JFK, with plans to shift operations to the newly developed terminal in June 2026, enhancing passenger experience in line with the airline’s premium service standards.

This new transatlantic connection marks a significant milestone in Gulf Air’s global expansion, offering travelers greater convenience and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a key aviation hub.
