Bahrain marches to victory at Sandhurst pace stick contest

Two teams from the Ministry of Interior’s Pace Stick Division clinched first and third place at the prestigious Inter-Company Pace Sticking Competition held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK.

The international event drew 21 teams from around the world, with Bahrain’s Corporal Sayed Abulhassan Shirazi also taking home the Best Team Leaderaward.

Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Police Academy, praised the accomplishment as a reflection of the continuous support extended by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. He noted the Minister’s commitment to empowering the team and elevating Bahrain’s profile on the global stage.

He also acknowledged the close guidance of Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, whose efforts to foster excellence have been instrumental in the team’s success.

Major-General Al Hassan applauded the team’s discipline, high morale, and cohesion, and reaffirmed the Royal Police Academy’s commitment to developing talent and preparing teams for future international challenges.
