Bahrain parliamentarian calls for banning drinks launched for breastfeeding children

A parliamentarian yesterday called on the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Ministry of Health to take immediate actions against drinks introduced for breastfeeding children.
MP Ahmed Al-Ansari termed such practises as “contradictory to the values of the Bahraini society”, besides causing severe health issues, especially in light of the deadly COVID-19 outbreak. He said that these trends are extraneous, which are also rejected by citizens.
“They must be addressed immediately and not be lenient with them under any justification,” Al-Ansari said the Department of Economic Development in Dubai had banned drinks in nurseries to limit the spread of the Covid 19.
