Additional restrictions in Bahrain due to spike in Covid 19 cases

From tomorrow (February 7), government entities and institutions in Bahrain will only allow a maximum of 70% of employees to shift to work from home.

The new measures are part of wide-ranging decisions to intensify the battle against the deadly outbreak.

The recommendations are by the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID19).

The new measures are effective until 20 February 2021.

The authorities are also temporarily closing in-door gyms and sports halls, and swimming pools.

Outdoor activities of gyms and sports halls may continue with a maximum of 30 individuals.

Health authorities also announced suspending indoor exercise classes for the time being.

The new measures also prohibit social event or gathering in a private residence or other private space with more than 30 participants.
