Woman, boyfriend caught selling drugs
A Thai woman and her boyfriend caught selling drugs were also charged with prostitution. The case is being heard by the High Criminal Court. Court files say the Thai woman was caught selling Shabu through her boyfriend. They were selling the banned products for BD200-BD500.
Incidents leading to the arrest occurred, when an agent in plain clothes contacted the suspect’s boyfriend for shabu worth BD440. The unsuspecting boyfriend, took the agent to their apartment in Juffair to complete the deal. Soon, anti-drug squad initiated a raid resulting in the arrest of the woman.
The woman, a Thai national, initially claimed that she was not involved in the drug business and was there at the apartment to have sex with men. She said she charged BD30 to BD40 for having sex.
