AGU graduate named as Endoscopy Unit head in US
Manama : Dr Ahmed Saeed, Consultant of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy and graduate of Arabian Gulf University (AGU) was appointed as Head of the Endoscopy Unit at the Veteran’s Hospital in Kansas City, USA.
He was also appointed Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, Kansas University.
Dr Ahmed Saeed graduated from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at AGU in 2008 and began his career as a Resident at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then became a trainee doctor in Gastroenterology from 2013-2016. In 2016, Dr Ahmed Saeed moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he specialised in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy in Temple University Hospital.
In 2017 Dr Saeed became a Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy Consultant and Head of Endoscopy Unit at the Veteran’s Hospital in Kansas. Dr Saeed recently moved to work as a consultant physician at Kansas Gastroenterology and Hepatology Physicians Group.
Dr Abdulrahman Yousif, Dean of Student Affairs at AGU expressed his pride in the international scientific achievements of AGU alumni.
