United States President Donald Trump has announced that a ceasefire agreement with Iran has been reached, marking a significant diplomatic development amid ongoing regional tensions. The announcement also included a claim that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened for international shipping under toll-free access.

According to Trump, the agreement ends hostilities between the United States and Iran and allows for the resumption of unrestricted maritime traffic through the strategically vital waterway. Trump’s announcement followed confirmation from Iran’s deputy foreign minister, who stated that a ceasefire agreement had been reached and would immediately bring an end to hostilities between the two sides.
