Bahrain wins seat at Heritage Committee
Manama : In recognition of its outstanding role in backing the international efforts to preserve human heritage around the world, Bahrain won a seat in the World Heritage List by an overwhelming majority of 121 votes. This came during the 21st meeting of the General Assembly of the participating countries in the 1972 World Heritage Convention. The meeting on November 14 and 15 was held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
