Bahrain Triathlon team bags three medals

Manama : Bahrain Triathlon Team has achieved the women’s gold medal at West Asia Championship in Aqaba, Jordan.

The gold medal was won by Bahraini triathlete Samira Bittar who completed the 750 metres swimming, 20 kilometres cycling and 5 kilometre running distance within a record time of 66 minutes. Also, Bahraini triathletes Omar Hamza and Mohammed Mubarak won a silver and a bronze medal respectively for the same distance.

On this occasion, Shaikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa the Chairman of Bahrain Triathlon Association congratulated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on the Bahraini team’s achievement of advanced places in the West Asia Triathlon Championship. 

The Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing to register its honorable presence at the various Arab, regional and international participations meanwhile our Bahraini champions continue to achieve one victory after another thanks to the support of the wise leadership and the follow up of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Dr. Shaikh Saqr affirmed.
