Al Salam Bank holds heart saver and first-aid course

Manama : Al Salam Bank-Bahrain announced plans to set up a dedicated first-aid room at its premises for dealing with emergencies and to provide immediate and basic care in case of work place accidents. 

Muna Al Balooshi, Group Head of Human Resources and Administration at Al Salam Bank-Bahrain announced this during a first-aid training programme held for the group’s employees at Sheraton Hotel. The course titled ‘Heart Saver & First Aid’ accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) was held in association with BDF Training and Development Centre. 

The event was attended by 63 Al Salam Bank’s staff to officially become certified members of AHA in Heart Saver & First Aid. 

The course focused on minimizing serious injury, by providing basic care to an injured or sick person before a doctor or a health professional takes over. Providing proper care during a breathing problem, injuries, and sudden illness including cardiac arrests were discussed. 

Commenting on the occasion, Muna Al Balooshi, Group Head of Human Resources and Administration at Al Salam Bank-Bahrain commented: “This is in line with our continuous commitment, as socially responsible bank; we always seek to bring safe and healthy environment to our customers and employees at work place.”
