CSB app ‘Govt Employee’ chosen best smart application

Manama : Civil Service Bureau (CSB) app ‘Government Employee’ has won the Arab Smart Government Award in the category of best smart application of authorities and community organisations in the Arab countries. 

The award was received by CSB president Ahmed Al Zayed during a ceremony held in Kuwaiti City, under the patronage of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shaikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah.

The contest was organised in cooperation between the Central Agency for Information Technology and the Excellence Awards Academy in Arab region.

CSB President Ahmed Al Zayed pointed out that CSB’s Government Employee app winning the Smart Government Award in the Arab region underscores the achievements made by the Kingdom in the field of e-government and smart applications. 

The Kingdom promotes the usage of modern technologies in accordance with the international standards to improve quality of services provided by the CSB to civil service employees.

The app, which has been developed in coordination with the information authority and the e-government, helps employees to view their monthly pay slip, salary and service certificate requests, attendance details, grades information and government pay scale.

DT News had reported last February that the new updated application serves more than 50,000 employees in the civil service sector. A total of 54,468 users have downloaded the application by the end of January 2016. 

It is possible to download the application on smart devices that run on Android or iOS operating system with appropriate size; the application does not consume a large space of the device memory. The app was downloaded 38,664 times on Android platform, followed by iOS platform with 15,804 downloads.
