MP spreads image of ex-wife, gets jail
Manama : An MP, accused of spreading an image of his ex-wife wearing a sleep shirt and beating her up, gets nine months in jail.
The woman filed a complaint, accusing him of sending the image to her father, brother and her son from a different man. He attached the image with insults against her. He has been also charged with robbery, as the woman and her mother said he had stolen three watches from their house, including a Rolex worth BD4,000 and a laptop.
The Lower Criminal Court fined the MP 150 for his offences. The court set his bail at BD200, pending the outcome of his appeal. The MP however, is under parliamentary immunity.
