Insulting cops: Sentence upheld

The High Criminal Court has upheld the nine-month sentence of a Bahraini woman after she was convicted of insulting policemen.

Zainab Al Khawaja is said to have broke into the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre two years ago. She was charged with insulting two on-duty policewomen.

Zainab is the daughter of Abdulhadi Al Khawajah, who plotted to overthrow the regime in 2011, in which he is serving now a life-term.
