Situation of 600 irregular houses adjusted
The situation of 600 irregular houses out of 864 in the Capital Governorate has been adjusted and the irregularities in them have been removed, Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa revealed.
The practical actions taken by the field work team of the project, which started in March 2013, aimed to protect lives of the residents and ensure that the buildings meet the security and safety requirements, he said.
The governor made the statements during his field visits, alongside the work team, to the relevant sides, including the Capital Police Directorate, the Labour and Social Development Ministry, the Capital Trustees Board, the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), the Civil Defence and the Ministry of Health, in the presence of the local citizens’ representatives at the Capital Governorate’s Coordination Council.
