Bahrain completes expansion of Kuwait Health Centre in Karzakan

New facilities include dental clinics and expanded administrative space

Ministry of Works has completed a major development and expansion project at the Kuwait Health Centre in Karzakan, officials announced.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Engineer Sheikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, confirmed the completion during an inspection visit to the facility, alongside Dr Eglal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive of Primary Health Care Centres.

Sheikh Mishal said the project reflects the ministry’s efforts to keep pace with developments in the healthcare sector, in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. He added that it aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to both citizens and residents.

He noted that the project was redesigned in accordance with green building standards, supporting energy efficiency policies and promoting environmental sustainability through reduced resource consumption.

According to officials, the works included renovating and upgrading part of the existing building, as well as adding a two-storey extension to the front of the centre.

The ground floor of the new extension includes administrative offices, a meeting room, and consultancy offices, while the first floor houses a fully equipped dental clinic and related support services.

Sheikh Mishal described the upgraded facility as part of a broader programme to develop health centres across Bahrain through targeted infrastructure projects aimed at improving service delivery and operational efficiency.

He added that such developments are intended to enhance the patient experience and provide a more integrated healthcare environment for the community.
