The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, through Bahrain Post, has warned residents about fraudulent messages impersonating the postal service, particularly on WhatsApp.
Officials said the messages are designed to mislead users into tracking parcels via untrusted links, with the intent of obtaining personal or financial information.
Residents are advised to ignore such messages, avoid interacting with suspicious links, and refrain from sharing private details.
The Ministry confirmed that official Bahrain Post communications are sent only from the number 39750162.
Messages from any other numbers should be considered unreliable. The public is encouraged to report suspicious messages to help authorities monitor and address fraud cases.
