The Housing and Urban Planning Minister, Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, yesterday conducted a field visit to Hidd Housing City to review ongoing repair works.
The visit was in line with the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the government to address damage to citizens’ homes following recent attacks.
During the visit, the minister assessed progress in restoring affected residential units and stressed the need to accelerate work in line with approved timelines, ensuring residents can return to their homes as soon as possible.
She highlighted the government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and maintaining their stability under these exceptional circumstances.
Efforts
The minister stated that these efforts reflect the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of the HRH Prince Salman to strengthen security and stability, safeguard national achievements, and maintain quality of life for citizens.
She emphasised the importance of intensifying efforts and maintaining coordination among relevant authorities to ensure the work is completed efficiently and in accordance with the highest engineering and technical standards.
H.E. Al Romaihi also visited the temporary alternative housing project in Salman City, where she reviewed the readiness of fully furnished apartments allocated to accommodate affected families until maintenance work on their homes in Hidd and Sitra is completed.
