Lebanon Looks to Boost Trade and Investment with Bahrain

Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain today on an official visit, where he is set to meet His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The high-level talks, scheduled for Wednesday at Gudaibiya Palace, will focus on strengthening the long-standing relationship between Bahrain and Lebanon, and addressing key regional and international developments.
President Aoun was warmly received at the airport by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of HM the King, along with Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, Lebanese Acting Chargé d'Affaires Mirna Khawli, and senior officials.
In a statement upon arrival, President Aoun expressed his deep appreciation for the invitation extended by HM King Hamad, emphasizing the historical and fraternal bonds between the two nations.
“This visit is a valuable opportunity to reinforce our shared political, economic, and cultural interests,” said President Aoun. “It reflects our mutual commitment to deepening cooperation and addressing the challenges facing our region.”
He also praised Bahrain’s supportive stance toward Lebanon in international forums and commended the Kingdom’s efforts in promoting stability and growth across the Arab world.
President Aoun noted that the visit will open new doors for strategic partnerships in key sectors such as investment, tourism, and trade, benefiting the peoples of both nations.
His official reception by HM King Hamad will take place tomorrow, followed by high-level discussions aimed at paving the way for stronger collaboration during challenging times for the region.
The visit marks a renewed chapter in Lebanon-Bahrain relations, underscoring a shared vision for progress, unity, and regional peace.
