Jeddah Airport Begins Terminal 4 Operations

Jeddah Airports Company has begun the gradual operation of Terminal 4 at King Abdulaziz International Airport, with the first phase transferring flights operated by Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir to the new facility.

More airlines will move to Terminal 4 in stages under an approved transition plan. The facility will eventually accommodate all foreign airlines currently operating from the North Terminal, along with selected carriers from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminals, depending on operational requirements.

The transition is scheduled to continue through the following week. Fly Jinnah and Nesma Airlines are set to move on September 28, followed by Akasa Air on September 29. SyrianAir, Pegasus, Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair are also scheduled to transfer in stages.

Covering 97,000 square metres, Terminal 4 has an annual capacity of up to 15 million passengers and includes modern operational systems and a dedicated group check-in facility for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The expansion follows a record year for King Abdulaziz International Airport, which handled 53.4 million passengers in 2025. Jeddah Airports said the new terminal is part of broader efforts to expand infrastructure, improve operational efficiency and accommodate continued passenger growth.

Passengers have been advised to confirm their departure terminal through their airline’s official channels or the airport’s official platforms before travelling.
