Foreign Minister Receives IISS Middle East Executive Director

His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Air Vice-Marshal (Ret.) Martin Sampson, Executive Director of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) – Middle East, at the Ministry on Monday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and IISS in organising specialised conferences and strategic forums focused on regional and international affairs. The talks underscored the importance of continued collaboration in promoting dialogue and the exchange of views on issues related to global security and stability.

The two officials also reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Manama Dialogue 2025, scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in November. They discussed the significance of the forum as a key platform for strategic discussions among global leaders, policy-makers, and experts.

Dr. Al Zayani praised the efforts of IISS in supporting regional and international dialogue, reaffirming Bahrain’s commitment to fostering partnerships that serve shared goals in diplomacy and security.

The meeting reflects Bahrain’s continued engagement in international dialogue and its role as a hub for diplomatic cooperation in the region.
