Foreign Minister holds talks with counterparts on regional security

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held a series of telephone calls with senior foreign officials to discuss regional developments and strengthen bilateral ties.
Dr. Al Zayani spoke separately with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs of Jordan; Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus; Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates; and Hamish Falconer, UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
The discussions covered ways to bolster cooperation and coordination across various fields to serve shared interests and further joint efforts.
A key focus of the conversa- tions was the ongoing military escalation between Israel and Iran and its impact on regional peace and stability. The ministers expressed deep concern over rising tensions and underscored the urgent need to de-escalate the situation. They highlighted the importance of continuing US-Iran negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme as a path to preserving regional security.
Dr. Al Zayani reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm stance in favour of diplomatic solutions and dialogue, and welcomed continued international cooperation to prevent further instability. The talks reflected a shared commitment among partners to work collectively toward peace and security in the region.
