Folklore arts centre opened at Al-Hidaya school
Education Ministry Undersecretary for Education and Curricula Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al Mutawa inaugurated a training centre on Bahraini folkloric arts at Al-Hidaya Al Khalifia Secondary Boys School.
Al Mutawa stressed the ministry’s keenness on carrying out projects supporting the educational curricula to promote citizenship and praised programmes highlighting Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage, commending the efforts of the Secondary Education Directorate and the school in implementing outstanding educational project.
The Secondary Education Director said that the project is the first of its kind in all secondary schools, pointing out that other centre will be set up in other schools as part of the creativity sessions for secondary students.
The aim, he added, is to encourage students to practise old Bahraini professions and inform them of their rich heritage.
