Jakarta, Indonesia: Lebanon raised the death toll from overnight Israeli strikes in the country's south and east to four killed on Saturday, following heavy military bombardment across multiple locations.

The air raids targeted several sites on Friday, with severe impacts recorded in the southern Nabatieh region.

Lebanon's health ministry reported that 32 other people were wounded in the overnight attacks, including several women and children.

Emergency response teams confirmed that an 18-year-old woman was among the four victims killed during the extensive bombardment across the area.

The Israeli military stated that its forces struck Hezbollah targets and military infrastructure, including designated weapon storage facilities.

An official statement from the army asserted that the air raids were carried out in direct response to an attempted attack by Hezbollah militants against Israel.

The strikes inflicted substantial damage on structures across several southern and eastern communities in Lebanon. Local rescue personnel worked through the night to treat the injured, as regional tensions remained high following the latest round of heavy cross-border exchanges between both sides.
