Greek military aircraft crashes during airshow

Athens, Greece: A Greek F-4 Phantom fighter jet crashed Saturday during an air show at Tanagra Air Base near Athens, sending thick smoke past thousands of spectators.
The twin-seat military aircraft plunged to the ground minutes into its demonstration during the annual Athens Flying Week event.
Public broadcaster ERT reported an explosion upon impact, with video showing heavy smoke rising a few hundred meters from the scene, visible to watching crowds.
Emergency response teams and a firefighting helicopter rushed to the crash site to contain the ground blaze.
The condition of the pilots and whether any spectators were injured remained unconfirmed immediately after the sudden crash.
