Bahrain welcomes UN move to end Israel-Hamas war

The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed a warm welcome to the decision adopted yesterday by the UN Security Council, urging for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
This call aims to facilitate the unimpeded delivery of vital humanitarian aid to civilians, bolster their protection throughout the region, ensure the prompt and unconditional release of hostages, and underscore the imperative for all involved parties to uphold their obligations under international law and humanitarian statutes.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its appeal to the global community to fulfill its obligations in implementing this resolution, recognising it as a pivotal stride towards achieving a lasting ceasefire.
The Ministry stressed the necessity of establishing secure and sustainable humanitarian corridors to meet fundamental needs, including provisions for food, medical supplies.
