Nominations open for UNESCO-King Hamad Prize

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) announced that it is accepting candidatures for the 11th edition of the UNESCO- King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education. Deadline for nominations is October 31, 2019.

The Prize will award Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions as well as applications of neuroscience in AI aimed at improving the educational and learning environment and promoting reading skills. 

UNESCO said individuals, institution, or non-governmental organisation (NGOs) with a project that is relevant to the specific theme of the 11th edition (i.e. that uses AI-powered solutions to enhance education, improve learning outcomes or empower teachers) could participate.
