For heros without borders
Manama : His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa yesterday launched “Heros without Borders for Military injurers” initiative, a rehabilitation programme aimed at integrating injured soldiers into society.
“We are proud of their sacrifices and efforts in serving their religion, homeland and King,” said the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation in his opening address.
His Highness added that this initiative follows the instructions His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to prepare appropriate conditions and encourage injured soldiers.
His Highness appreciated and thanked the efforts of the Association by the headship of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al-Khalifa for preparing and arranging for this event.
Several competitions were held on the occasion including Weightlifting, Table tennis, archery, Rowing and Athletics.
His Highness awarded Dr Col. Zahra Khalifa Ahmed, Major Abdullah Abdul Aziz Al Hussaini, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Sheikh, First Lieutenant Mounira Mohammed Al-Tamimi, Dr. Alias Kamal Abdullah, Chairman of Corporals Abdul Aziz Ahmed Manzoor, Chairman of Corporals Talib Jamil Mahmoud Nahar, Corporal Maher Jarad Abdel-Adwais, Deputy Chief Naji Al-Mudhari, Raim Ali Al-Otaibi, Sheikha Mohdi Al-Dosari, Sharifa Mohammad Budwas, Ali Mohammed Ali, Ali Rahman Amin, Salahuddin Luqman Janahi, Ahmed Salah Abdul Ghaffar, Mona Abdul Ghaffar Al Baloush, Yousif Mohammed Al Refai and Rayana Thabet Ahmed.
