Maximos lifts African Wrestling Belt
Manama : Congolese wrestler Junior Maximos crowned with All Africa Wrestling Belt by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Art Federation.
The competition saw the participation of KHK Boxing’s heavyweight wrestler Faisal Arami competing with his Congolese counterpart in the tenth and final round for the King of Africa Wrestling Belt.
Shaikh Khalid congratulated Cape Verde Republic on its successful hosting of Africa Wrestling Championship.
Shaikh Khalid thanked the organizers, Cape Verde-based Green Studio Company and UAE-based DB Luxury Events, expressing aspiration to host similar championship in all countries and to encourage youth to practice, advance and develop this game.
Shaikh Khalid also congratulated Maximos on his victory, wishing him success in upcoming championships.
