Futsal League quarter-finals resumes today

ManamaThe quarter-finals of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls resumes today at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

This competition is being held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and concludes on September 14.

Four matches are scheduled today with Ras Rumman Youth Centre and Sanad Youth Centre playing at 5pm, followed by Muharraq vs South Sehla (6pm), Al Naeem vs Bu Quwah (7pm) and Jidhafs vs Hamad Town (8pm).

The league is jointly organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting and comes as part of the initiative and includes 59 teams that represent youth centres, local unregistered clubs, people with disabilities and girls’ teams for the first time this year.

All the referees approved are from the Bahrain Football  Association (BFA) under the committee spearheaded by Jassim Mahmood, who himself is a former international referee and director of referees at the BFA.

Meanwhile, the organising committee of the league announced that tickets for the raffle on the grand prize will be distributed among the attendees of the league starting Thursday.

The prize will be a brand new car and the raffle will be held on the final day of the league next Thursday on September 14.
