AmCham names Keynote Speaker

ManamaThe American Chamber of Commerce Bahrain (AmCham Bahrain), yesterday announced Ambassador Stuart E. Jones, Acting U.S. Assistant Secretary at the Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs at the State Department, as a keynote speaker of this year’s AmCham MENA Regional Council’s Annual Forum. 

Ambassador Jones will open the two-day forum held in Bahrain from 15 to 16 March 2017.

The event aims to promote trade and investment between the markets of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and the U.S, where he will address more than 400 expected attendees. 

In his keynote address, Ambassador Jones will focus on this year’s theme “SMEs Unlocking Economic Potential in the MENA Region”. 

Commenting, Qays H. Zu’bi, President of AmCham Bahrain, said, “His expertise and long standing tenure in the region will help to shed light and provide context for the current economic environment and the opportunities that exist for business and investment growth between the markets of the MENA region and the U.S.”

Other experts confirmed to address the forum are other senior government and private sector business leaders including Khush Choksy, Senior Vice President, Middle East and Turkey Affairs, US Chamber of Commerce, Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive, Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Mohamed Shalaby, Plant Director, Mondelez (Kraft Bahrain).
