The ‘Taste Tour’ will return this year and will include a total of 29 participating restaurants. Participants will be able to sample dishes and vote for their favorite restaurants. AHMED AL QASIM’S JAZZ EXPERIENCE

Café Amsterdam is proud to announce the re-introduction of our famous jazz night.Bringing you only the best with the eminence of jazz by Ahmed Al Qasim’s jazz experience.”Ahmed Al Qasim’s Jazz Experience” is a unique jazz session created in 2013, features Ahmed Al Qasim on vocals, playing his 7-strings bass guitar, accompanied by Noor Al Awadhi, adding a true live Latin percussion feel. Expect a night of classics, fused with Blues and Swing hits from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, George Benson, Ray Charles, and B.B. King, blended with modern hits from artists such as Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Gregory Porter, and many more.They also perform jazzy twists of classic songs for non-jazz artists like Lionel Richie, Sting, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles, with a bonus of live musical improvisations. 

MAX IN BAHRAIN: A TRANSFORMATIONAL YOGA AND WELLBEING

This workshop will help you re-think your priorities and give you knowledge to take home with you to help you sleep and live more at ease. Class includes lecture, gentle yoga postures, breath work, and self-enquiry. Bring your mat and writing materials.

GAZING AT THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD: JAPANESE PHOTOGRAPHY FROM 1970S TO THE PRESENT 

Date: Ongoing till 4 March 2017, 8:00am - 8:00pm 

Venue: Bahrain National Museum 

Presenting an overview of the photographic expression that has emerged in Japan since the 1970s, this exhibition includes 76 photographs by 23 photographers. The exhibit is divided into two sections, the first, “A Changing Society,” focuses on human beings as members of society. The second, “Changing Landscapes,” looks at cities, the suburbs and nature. This exhibition is presented in Bahrain in cooperation with the Japan Foundation.
