Academic institutions urged to comply with regulations

Higher Education Council (HEC) Secretary-General Dr. Riadh Youssef Hamza received officials representing the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College of Business (TAGUCB) who gave an update on the academic and administrative situation of the establishment.

Dr. Hamza urged all academic enterprises to comply with the HEC regulations, resolutions and edicts and complete their administrative and academic requirements, stressing particularly top positions, governance councils and teacher-students pro-rata.

He underscored the importance of keeping abreast of premium modern teaching and learning practices and academic syllabi and programmes to cope with international trends.

The HEC General-Secretariat, he said, is willing and ready to respond to all queries and questions for the adequate implementation of regulations.

TAGUCB officials outlined their plan to attract additional students from neighbouring countries, in line with Bahrain’s higher education strategy. They announced that a new college dean and specialised teachers would be hired.
