Survey Authority Chief Praises Youth City 2030

Manama: Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of Bahrain's Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), has praised Youth City 2030 as a leading national initiative that plays a vital role in empowering young Bahrainis and preparing them for the future.

During his visit to the city, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Al Hamar toured a range of training centres and programmes designed to equip participants with practical knowledge, technical expertise, and professional skills aligned with the evolving needs of the labour market.

Accompanied by Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, he also visited the Survey Engineering and Geospatial Data training programme, where participants receive hands-on experience in modern surveying techniques, geospatial technologies, digital mapping, and artificial intelligence applications that reflect real workplace environments and international best practices. Al Hamar emphasized that investing in young people is a cornerstone of Bahrain's sustainable development strategy, noting that initiatives such as Youth City 2030 help discover and nurture national talent while strengthening innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. He added that the Survey and Land Registration Bureau's participation reflects its commitment to introducing young Bahrainis to one of the Kingdom's most important technology-driven sectors, providing them with valuable practical experience and opening new career opportunities in support of Bahrain's digital transformation and long-term economic growth.
